Cerebellar functional and structural connectivity are likely related to motor function after stroke. Less is known about motor recovery, which is defined as a gain of function between two time points, and about the involvement of the cerebellum. Fifteen patients who were hospitalized between 2018 and 2020 for a first cerebral ischemic event with persistent upper limb deficits were assessed by resting-state functional MRI (rsfMRI) and clinical motor score measurements at 3, 9 and 15 weeks after stroke.

Purpose: Friedreich ataxia (FDRA) is a debilitating neurodegenerative disease that can have ophthalmological manifestations including visual dysfunction, nystagmus, and optic atrophy. However, severe photophobia has not been reported nor evaluated with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).

Methods: A 64-year-old white female with a 37-year history of FDRA presented to the eye clinic with worsening photophobia of 3 years.

Background: Pediatric hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) recipients are at high-risk for morbidity from influenza virus infection. We demonstrated in a primary phase II randomized controlled trial that two post-HCT doses of high-dose trivalent influenza vaccine (HD-TIV) given four weeks apart were more immunogenic than two doses of standard-dose quadrivalent influenza vaccine (SD-QIV). Herein, we present immunogenicity and safety of influenza vaccination in a consecutive season post-HCT using the same dosing regimen.

Background: We aimed to develop a framework for generating three-dimensional (3D) myocardial blood flow (MBF) images, computing their accuracy against clinically validated two-dimensional (2D) polar MBF maps of the left ventricle, and evaluating their improvements in image quality over relative myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI).

Methods: N = 40 patients with a wide range of defect severities and uptake dynamics were retrospectively studied. The FlowQuant™ software was used to generate reference MPI and polar MBF maps and was adapted for voxel-wise MBF mapping.
