Balance and proprioception are essential elements in postural control and injury prevention. Proprioception, the body's sense of position and movement, is closely tied to balance, which depends on input from the visual, vestibular, and somatosensory systems. This article explores the link between trauma experiences and proprioceptive dysfunction, emphasizing how heightened muscle tone, dissociation, and altered sensory processing contribute to balance issues and the risk of injury.

Secukinumab treatment showed improved quality of life in patients with chronic plaque psoriasis in Australia: Results from the HOPE study.

Background: Psoriasis imposes a disease burden that can have a profound negative impact on patients' quality of life (QoL). HOPE was the first non-interventional study conducted in patients with severe chronic plaque psoriasis in Australia that evaluated health-related QoL in response to treatment with secukinumab.

Methods: HOPE was a prospective, open-label, single-arm, multicentre, non-interventional, exploratory study in patients with severe chronic plaque psoriasis in Australia.

Chylothorax is rare in children. Only a few cases of tuberculosis (TB)-associated chylothorax have been reported. We present a child on standard four-drug TB treatment who presented with wheezing and a chylothorax.

Geometrical model-based segmentation of the organs of sight on CT images.

Segmentation of organs of sight such as the eyeballs, lenses, and optic nerves is a time consuming task for clinicians. The small size of the organs and the similar density of the surrounding tissues make the segmentation difficult. We developed a new algorithm to segment these organs with minimal user interaction.
