Purpose: Regular exercise can reduce the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, a common neurodegenerative disorder. The Rock Steady Boxing organization created an exercise program for people with Parkinson's Disease (pwPD) modelled after traditional boxing. The purpose of this study was to better understand the physical function, exercise beliefs, contextual factors, class experiences and outcome perceptions of pwPD participating in Rock Steady Boxing.

Moiré superlattices of semiconducting transition metal dichalcogenide heterobilayers are model systems for investigating strongly correlated electronic phenomena. Specifically, WSe/WS moiré superlattices have emerged as a quantum simulator for the two-dimensional extended Hubbard model. Experimental studies of charge transport have revealed correlated Mott insulator and generalized Wigner crystal states, but spin transport of the moiré heterostructure has not yet been sufficiently explored.

  • Functional annotations show significant enrichment of CAD heritability, highlighting the importance of ultra-rare variants and specific regulatory mechanisms in different cells as major factors influencing genetic risk for the disease.
