Purpose: To examine the role of lower extremity blood flow restriction (BFR) in the athletic population.

Methods: This study was conducted using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses statement guidelines. Searches of Level I and II studies were performed on PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane databases.

Treatment of Refractory Osteochondral Lesions of the Talus with a Novel Transmalleolar Drilling Technique: A Case Report.

Case: A 15-year-old adolescent girl underwent revision surgery for a posteromedial osteochondral lesion of the talus (OLT). To provide anatomic reduction of her lesion, fluoroscopy and ankle arthroscopy facilitated a transmalleolar tunnel for screw fixation. Now, 8 years after surgery, the patient reports high patient satisfaction and pain-free functional use of her ankle.

Distal Femoral Stress Fractures Has High Operation Rates in Adolescent and Young Adult Athletes.

Background: Although stress fractures of the distal femur are rare, symptoms can overlap with other peri-articular knee pathology, delaying diagnosis. Untreated stress fractures have the potential to progress into completed fractures with a higher likelihood for requiring surgery and longer recovery times in otherwise healthy adolescents and young adults. This case series represents the largest cohort of adolescent athletes with distal femoral stress fractures who presented with activity-related knee pain.

Creating models for the prediction of colostrum quantity, quality, and immunoglobulin G yield in multiparous Jersey cows from performance in the previous lactation and environmental changes.

With multiparous Jersey cows, colostrum production seems to be variable. Due to this, we aimed to identify specific variables involved in colostrum production and quality. From 2021 to 2023, data from 28 US farms (415 multiparous Jersey cows) were used to investigate if colostrum yield, IgG concentration (g/L), and IgG yield (g) could be predicted by farm variables and transmitting abilities.

Translation and Psychometric Evaluation of a Chinese Version of the Behavioral Regulation in Sport Questionnaire (BRSQ) with University Sport Athletes.

Our aim in this study was to translate and psychometrically evaluate a Chinese version of the Behavioral Regulation in Sport Questionnaire (BRSQ). Participants were Chinese collegiate athletes ( = 361) who were competitive in their respective sports. We examined the construct validity of the Chinese BRSQ using alternative structural equation models and evaluated convergent validity, factor score reliability, and measurement invariance of the optimal model.
