Background: Modern elite football places extremely high demands on the athlete's body, so it is of practical interest to study the effect of various dietary supplements on load tolerance and postexercise recovery. Furthermore, there is a lack of research on the effects of caffeine on key measures of load tolerance in football such as delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS), rate of perceived exertion (RPE) and heart rate (HR) at different time points after the exercise.

Methods: 54 young players aged 15-17 years from a leading Russian football academy took part in a randomised trial using the balanced placebo design.

Emergomyces africanus is a thermally dimorphic pathogen causing severe morbidity and mortality in immunocompromized patients. Its transition to a pathogenic yeast-like phase in the human host is a notable virulence mechanism. Recent studies suggest polyamines as key players in dimorphic switching, yet their precise functions remain enigmatic.

Despite significant progress made over the past two decades in the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), there is still an unmet need for effective and safe agents to treat patients with resistance and intolerance to the drugs used in clinic. In this work, we designed 2-arylaminopyrimidine amides of isoxazole-3-carboxylic acid, assessed their inhibitory potential against Bcr-Abl tyrosine kinase, and determined their antitumor activity in K562 (CML), HL-60 (acute promyelocytic leukemia), and HeLa (cervical cancer) cells. Based on the analysis of computational and experimental data, three compounds with the antitumor activity against K562 and HL-60 cells were identified.

In order to combat resistance, it is necessary to develop antimicrobial agents that act differently from conventional antibiotics. Fluorothiazinone, 300 mg tablet (The Gamaleya National Research Center), is an original antibacterial drug based on a new small molecule T3SS and flagellum inhibitor. A total of 357 patients with complicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) were divided into two groups and given Fluorothiazinone 1200 mg/day or a placebo for 7 days to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the drug.
