GH10 XynA is the main xylanase identified in the crude enzymatic extract of Paenibacillus sp. A59 when grown on xylan or lignocellulosic biomass.

A novel bacterial isolate with polysaccharides degrading activity was identified as Paenibacillus sp., and named Paenibacillus sp. A59.

Mechanochemically synthesized CsHPO-HPWO composites as proton-conducting electrolytes for fuel cell systems in a dry atmosphere.

Cesium dihydrogen phosphate (CsHPO, CDP) and dodecaphosphotungstic acid (HPWO·HO, WPA·HO) were mechanochemically milled to synthesize CDP-WPA composites. The ionic conductivities of these composites were measured by an ac impedance method under anhydrous conditions. Despite the synthesis temperatures being much lower than the dehydration and phase-transition temperatures of CDP under anhydrous conditions, the ionic conductivities of the studied composites increased significantly.

Oxidative stability and its relationship with natural antioxidants during refrigerated retail display of beef produced in Argentina.

The objective of this study was to determine if pasture or grain diets affect oxidative/antioxidative status and the color stability of beef during retail display. Ten crossbreed steers were fed on pasture. Five of them were randomly assigned to remain on this diet, and the other five were finished on feedlot system (grain diet) during 110days until slaughter.

Argentine meat has been traditionally produced on pasture. However, to comply with some market requirements, grain finishing is becoming more common among producers. The main goal of the present work was to study lipid oxidation in fresh meat from animals fed different diets in relationship with their antioxidant vitamin status.
