Purpose: Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) poses a significant global health burden, with Mild TBI (mTBI) being the most prevalent form. TBI triggers activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, which in turn affects the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis regulating oogenesis and spermatogenesis. In this study, we investigated the impact of mTBI on sperm genome integrity using a repetitive mTBI (r-mTBI) mouse model.

The fluoroquinolone (FQ) class of antibiotics includes the world's most prescribed antibiotics such as ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, and ofloxacin that are known for their low bacterial resistance. The relationship between the child's problematic media use and the parental reading belief and smartphone addiction.

  The aim was to reveal the prevalence of problematic media use in children and investigate its relationship with parental reading beliefs and smartphone addiction. It was conducted with 390 parents of children aged 4-6. Problematic Media Use Measure-Short Form (PMUM-SF), Parent Reading Belief Inventory (PRBI) and Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short Version (SAS-SV) were used.

Outcomes of cerclage wiring for intraoperative calcar fractures in cementless hemiarthroplasty in older patients with femoral neck fractures.

Background: Cementless hip hemiarthroplasty is one of the options for the treatment of osteoporotic femoral neck fractures. Intraoperative periprosthetic femoral calcar fractures sometimes occur during the surgery, and the use of cerclage wiring to maintain the position and stability of the femoral stem and prevent the progression of the fracture. This study examines the outcomes of cerclage wiring to treat intraoperative periprosthetic calcar fractures in cementless hip hemiarthroplasty in osteoporotic femoral neck fractures.
