Vertical neglect represents a visuospatial deficit occurring as a possible consequence of acquired brain injury (ABI). Differently from unilateral spatial neglect on horizontal space, vertical neglect is poorly studied in the literature and rarely assessed in clinical practice. In the available studies, the terms "radial," "vertical," and "altitudinal" neglect are often used interchangeably, although they do not describe the same spatial dimension.

We described the serological prevalence of West Nile Virus (WNV) antibodies among the human population in a historical and strategic region of Turkey. A serologic survey was conducted based on suspected cases in April, 2009, in the Mesopotamia region of Turkey, in the villages that were located alongside the Zergan River. All the sera were tested by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay ELISA (Euroimmune™), and the positive samples were tested by immunofluorescent assay (IFA; Euroimmune™).

A total of 496 patients (age range 18-75 years) with a clinical diagnosis of dermatophyte toenail onychomycosis, confirmed by positive mycological culture and microscopy (KOH), were recruited from 35 centres in six European countries. They were randomly divided into four parallel groups to receive either terbinafine 250 mg/day for 12 or 16 weeks (groups T12 and T16), or itraconazole 400 mg/day for 1 week in every 4 weeks for 12 or 16 weeks (groups I3 and I4).

We describe an integrated system to record physiological and behavioral variables from nonhuman primates in social groups. The system records data simultaneously from two animals in family groups of five. It synchronizes behavioral and physiological data within 16 ms, either on-line or from recordings.
