Mother-adolescent communication and father-adolescent communication: Analyzing a 4-week family intervention using multi-informant data.

Families manage daily conflict through communication and healthy family communication is critical to promoting better family relationships and youth adjustment. Community families without high-risk factors, such as domestic dispute or clinical problems, are no less affected by the ramifications of poor communication and conflict management. However, there is limited translational research on community families analyzing the changes in parent-adolescent communication quality.

Testing a Family Conflict Intervention for Parents and Typically Developing Adolescent Siblings of Individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities.

Parents and typically developing (TD) youth siblings of individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) often experience greater caregiving burden, stress, and hardships in family functioning. They are at increased risk of family conflict and youth adjustment problems when TD siblings are adolescents since they need to balance caregiving responsibilities and various changes that naturally occur during adolescence. However, there is a lack of intervention research on parents and TD adolescent siblings that focuses on family conflict and family-wide participation.

Sulfinfinitenes: infinitenes of fused thiophene rings.

Sulfinfinitenes, analogues of infinitene constructed from thiophene rings and assembled by applying a "cut-twist-restitch" sequence to two sulflowers, are explored through DFT calculations. The sulfinfinitene with 16 thiophene rings is only slightly more strained than the [8]sulflower, which has been synthesized, and can be considered as a promising synthetic target.

Cu-Supported ZnO under Conditions of CO Reduction to Methanol: Why 0.2 ML Coverage?

By hydrogenating carbon dioxide to value-added products such as methanol, heterogeneous catalysts can lower greenhouse gas emissions and generate alternative liquid fuels. The most common commercial catalyst for the reduction of CO to methanol is Cu/ZnO/AlO, where ZnO improves conversion and selectivity toward methanol. The structure of this catalyst is thought to be Zn oxy(hydroxyl) overlayers on the nanometer scale on Cu.

Advance Consent for Participation in Acute Stroke Trials: A Focus Group Study with People with Lived Experience of Stroke.

Advance consent could address many of the limitations traditional consenting methods pose to participation in acute stroke trials. We conducted a series of five focus groups with people with lived experience of stroke. Using an inductive thematic approach, two themes were developed: factors in favour of, and against, advance consent.
