Aims: To explore the impact of an ASD on the lived experiences of parents and neurotypical adult siblings, including during the UK COVID-19 lockdown.
Objectives: To evaluate the current routine use of latex gloves and latex containing dental dam in UK general dental practice.
Methods: A questionnaire was disseminated to 89 general dental practitioners (GDPs) in June 2017. The survey concerned their current, routine use of latex gloves and latex-containing dental dam in general dental practice.
Substance misuse is a major health concern in the United Kingdom, as the consequences for individuals are significant and may include multisystem organ damage. It is important for the dentist to know which patients are misusing substances as some pharmacological agents routinely used in dental practice may be contraindicated. The dentist should be aware of the range of clinical presentations that may arise from substance misuse and when suspected, a thorough drug history must be obtained.
