The discrete empirical interpolation method (DEIM) is well-established as a means of performing model order reduction in approximating solutions to differential equations, but it has also more recently demonstrated potential in performing data class detection through subset selection. Leveraging the singular value decomposition for dimension reduction, DEIM uses interpolatory projection to identify the representative rows and/or columns of a data matrix. This approach has been adapted to develop additional algorithms, including a CUR matrix factorization for performing dimension reduction while preserving the interpretability of the data.

We assessed the effectiveness of CCP in a propensity-matched analysis, and whether the presence of antibodies in the recipient at the time of treatment or the titer of antibodies in the administered CCP influenced clinical effectiveness. In an inpatient population within a single large health system, a total of 290 CCP patients were matched to 290 controls.

RV3-BB vaccine (G3P[6]) is based on a neonatal rotavirus strain that replicates well in the newborn gut in the presence of breast milk. This study investigated the association between maternal serum antibodies and vaccine response in infants administered the RV3-BB vaccine.

Wearable activity monitors can facilitate PA initiation, but evidence of sustained behavior change is lacking. Supplementing wearable technologies with intervention content that evokes enjoyment, interest, meaning, and personal values associated with PA may support long term adherence.

However, our understanding of their biological roles and whether these roles are conserved across eukaryotes remains limited.
Results: In this study, we leveraged standard polyadenylation-enriched RNA-sequencing data to identify and characterize RNA modifications that introduce base-pairing errors into cDNA reads.
