Background: There is a growing expectation that neurodivergent young people, such as those with diagnoses of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and/or autism, should play a central role in shaping research on neurodevelopmental conditions. However, currently, their involvement is typically limited to arms-length advice. To address this, the (RE-STAR) programme has co-developed a framework for deepening the involvement of neurodivergent participants in translational research.

Background: In STREAM-1 (Strategic Reperfusion Early After Myocardial Infarction), excess intracranial hemorrhage occurred in patients aged ≥75 years receiving full-dose tenecteplase as part of a pharmaco-invasive strategy, whereas no further intracranial hemorrhage occurred after halving the tenecteplase dose. In STREAM-2 (Second Strategic Reperfusion Early After Myocardial Infarction), half-dose tenecteplase was an effective and safe pharmaco-invasive strategy in older patients with ST-segment-elevation myocardial infarction presenting within <3 hours, compared with primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). We prespecified evaluating the efficacy and safety of a half-dose versus full-dose pharmaco-invasive strategy and compared the half-dose pharmaco-invasive strategy to primary PCI in patients aged ≥75 years.

Background: Cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6 inhibitors (CDK4/6i) have improved the efficacy of endocrine therapy in hormone receptor-positive (HR+)/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2-) breast cancer (BC) and are now used in both early-stage and metastatic disease. Recent case reports suggest that pseudo-serum creatinine (Scr) elevations are likely a class effect of CDK4/6i.

Methods: This single-center retrospective analysis included patients aged ≥18 years who received at least one dose of palbociclib, ribociclib, or abemaciclib for the treatment of HR+/HER2- BC in the early or advanced setting.

Introduction: Mass screening for SARS-CoV-2 using nasopharyngeal swabs (NPS) is costly, uncomfortable for patients, and increases the chance of virus exposure to health care workers. Therefore, this study focused on determining if self-collected unpreserved saliva can be an effective alternative to NPS collection in COVID-19 surveillance.

Materials And Methods: In this study, patients being tested for SARS-CoV-2 using NPS were asked to provide a saliva sample to compare their results.

Adductor canal block is a widely used regional anesthesia technique for total knee arthroplasty that helps in reducing post-surgical pain and opioid use. Anatomically, the adductor canal extends from the apex of the femoral triangle proximally to the adductor hiatus distally and is roofed by the sartorius and vasto-adductor fascia. All these serve as a potential path for the spread of the local anesthetic when it is injected inside the adductor canal during the block.
