[Actinomycotic tubo-ovarian abscess in the presence of an intrauterine device].

Two cases of women with actinomycotic tubo-ovarian abscesses are reported. Both of the patients were users of intrauterine contraceptive devices. They were successfully treated by abdominal hysterectomy with salpingooophorectomy--in one cases appendectomy in addition--and pelvic drainage combined with antibiotic therapy.

[First experiences with the leukocyte migration inhibition test performed on patient hysterectomized on account of myoma (author's transl)].

The leukocyte migration inhibition test was performed on 56 patients hysterectomized on account of myoma. Despite low antigenicity of autologous myoma tissue significant differences in inhibitions of migration were observed depending on the extent of surgical radicality in the adnexal region. Non-inhibition of leukozyte migration in patients whose myomatous uterus alone was exstirpated is explained by the oestrogens produced in the remaining ovaries.

Reported in this paper is experience so far obtained from graduated or stepwise treatment of carcinoma in situ. The report is based on the author's own experience obtained from 716 cases as well as on another 342 carcinomas in situ which had been evaluated earlier and elsewhere by Mosler and co-workers. [Leukocyte migration inhibition and leukocyte adherence inhibition (LMI- and LAI-assay) in cancer patients by using preparations from human fetuses].

The sensitization of lymphocytes from patients with different tumors was tested against a 3 M KCl-extract of fetal tissue (3.--6. month) by the leukocyte adherence inhibition assay (LAI) and by the leukocyte migration inhibition assay (LMI).
