Isolation and characterization of a new Leptobacillium species promoting tomato plant growth.

Endophytes can be a promising alternative for sustainable agronomic practices. In this study, we report for the first time a root-colonizing fungal strain (Sl27) of the genus Leptobacillium as a tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) endophyte, with no clear homology to any known species. Performed analyses and assays, including morphological and physiological characterization of the fungal isolate, provided insights into the ecological niche and potential agronomical and industrial applications of the fungal isolate.

Exploring the impact of plant genotype and fungicide treatment on endophytic communities in tomato stems.

This study examines how plant genotype can influence the microbiome by comparing six tomato genotypes () based on their traditional vs. commercial backgrounds. Using Illumina-based sequencing of the V6-V8 regions of 16S and ITS2 genes, we analyzed and compared the endophytic bacterial and fungal communities in stems to understand how microbiota can differ and be altered in plant genotypes and the relation to human manipulation.

The aim of our study is to describe the clinical outcomes of Mini-ECIRS in a pediatric population. A retrospective study was performed in pediatric patients with lithiasis disease treated with mini-ECIRS between 2006 and 2023 in 2 referral centers in Europe.
