Background: Steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head (SONFH) is a pathological condition primarily driven by an impaired balance in the differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) into adipogenic and osteogenic lineages. This study aimed to explore the role of miR-129-5p as a regulator of SONFH progression and associated mechanisms.

Intermediate Uveitis: An Updated Review of the Differential Diagnosis and Relevant Special Investigations.

The aim of this review is to provide an update on both the differential diagnosis of intermediate uveitis (IU) and the special investigations that may be required to determine the underlying etiology of this condition. The authors describe how they identified the relevant publications included in this review and then proceed to outline the possible causes of IU by classifying them into the following categories: Idiopathic, infectious, systemic, genetic/hereditary, drug-induced and masquerades. Thereafter, the special investigations relevant to each cause are discussed individually.

Staple principles for the definition of front-of-pack nutritional labels.

Front-of-pack nutrition labels (FOPNLs) have been developed since 1989 to curb the increasing prevalence of obesity and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and to promote healthy consumption choices. While several countries have introduced their own labeling schemes on a voluntary basis, the European Commission aims to harmonize a FOPNL system that will be mandatory for all member states.
