The NRCS-A strain has emerged as a global cause of late-onset sepsis associated with outbreaks in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) whose transmission is incompletely understood. Demographic and clinical data for 45 neonates with and 90 with other coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) isolated from sterile sites were reviewed, and clinical significance was determined. isolated from 27 neonates at 2 hospitals between 2017 and 2022 underwent long-read (ONT) (=27) and short-read (Illumina) sequencing (=18).

Article Synopsis
  • * Restoring ocean pH to preindustrial levels could help coral reefs recover; however, effective large-scale methods to reverse ocean acidification are lacking.
  • * Using simulations, researchers found that electrolysis of seawater increases pH and carbonate concentration near the electrodes, suggesting it could help restore conditions for coral reef survival, laying the groundwork for future experiments on this method, referred to as eCoral.

We describe the design, synthesis, and structure-activity relationship (SAR) of heterobifunctional RET ligand-directed degraders (LDDs) derived from three different second-generation RET inhibitors. These LDDs are composed of a target binding motif (TBM) that binds to the RET protein, a linker, and a cereblon binding motif (CBM) as the E3 ligase recognition unit. This led to the identification of a series of pyrazolopyridine-based heterobifunctional LDDs, as exemplified by compound .

Background: It is rare for an adult patient to be living decades after a pneumonectomy procedure. This case features complications that can arise. We utilize cardiopulmonary exercise stress testing (CPET) to highlight long-term physiologic changes that can present in a post-pneumonectomy patient.
