Objectives: The programme implemented a microsimulation modelling approach to project the clinical and economic burden of chronic kidney disease (CKD) between 2024 and 2027 in Hungary.

Methods: Using the peer-reviewed microsimulation, a virtual Hungarian population was generated that was derived from national records, local demographic data and published epidemiological data. These inputs defined the likelihood of a change in health state for each individual as they progressed through the model in annual increments.

In the presence of temporally organized stimuli, there is a tendency to entrain to the beat, even at the neurological level. Previous research has shown that when adults listen to rhythmic stimuli and are asked to imagine the beat, their neural responses are the same as when the beat is physically accented. The current study explores the neural processing of simple beat structures where the beat is physically accented or inferred from a previously presented physically accented beat structure in a passive listening context.

Single umbilical artery (SUA) is considered the most common abnormality of the umbilical artery. The objective of the study was to evaluate the perinatal prognosis of fetuses with SUA and to describe the associated malformations. Context: Onlay and retromuscular sublay mesh repairs are the most frequently used procedures in open repair of midline incisional hernias. The onlay placement of the mesh is simple and fast to perform, while the sublay retromuscular repair offers a supplementary protection against infection, but it is considered a more complicated procedure with a higher risk of early postoperative complications. The personal experience of the surgeons plays an important role in choosing the technique of mesh placement.
