[Some patterns of development of radio-induced metachronous tumors].

Objective: to determine the specific features of the development of metachronous tumors and survival rates in patients with metachronous primary and multiple cancers after radiotherapy for the first tumor.

Material And Methods: The archival data of the Chelyabinsk Regional Oncology Dispensary on the treatment of 232 patients, in whom metachronous primary and multiple tumors occurred after radiotherapy for primary tumor, were studied.

Results: The patients' mean age at the diagnosis of the first tumor was 60.

Fabrication and properties of ITO films treated by excited atomic oxygen.

We consider the crystallization of ITO films induced by excited atomic oxygen. Owing to it, transmittance of these films in visible ranges increased by ~20% and surface impedance dropped from 36 down to 4.6Ω/□.

[Clinico-microbiological observations in specialized neonatology departments].

Results of dynamic microbiological control and clinical observation in specialized departments of newborns pathologies and nursing of premature children for 1989-1994 are presented. Criteria of gastrointestinal colonization, clinical and bacteriological indices of the risk of appearance of suppurative-septic infections in newborns, the leading role of gram-negative bacteria and the increasing role of staphylococci in the development of these infections have been established. Sensitivity of the hospital strains of microorganisms isolated from newborns and from the environment to antibacterial preparations has been studied.
