The relevance of the study of behavioral disorders in children and adolescents with intellectual disability is determined by the fact that the problem is at the intersection of different disciplines (psychiatry, psychology, pedagogics, sociology, criminology). Also, there are difficulties in analyzing the interaction between biological and social factors in etiology of such disorders. The review article discusses various aspects of behavioral disorders in children and adolescents with intellectual disability - the historical background, prevalence, etiology and pathogenesis, clinical picture.

All muscles fibers in intact and experimental animals were identified as slow ones (type I of muscle fibers).
