Background/objectives: A modern classification distinguishes between two nosological entities posing an intermediate risk between differentiated and anaplastic carcinoma: poorly differentiated thyroid carcinoma and differentiated high-grade thyroid carcinoma. There are currently few studies searching for the preoperative molecular genetic markers of high-grade papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC HG), primarily because of a recent WHO reclassification and singling out of a separate entity: high-grade follicular cell-derived nonanaplastic thyroid carcinoma. Therefore, this work was aimed at identifying PTC HG-specific microRNAs and mRNAs that reliably distinguish them from differentiated papillary thyroid carcinoma in preoperative cytology specimens (fine-needle aspiration biopsies).

Implants made of biodegradable polymers are replaced by regenerating tissues through inflammation. The changes occurring in tissues and the organism are of practical interest for studying the biocompatibility of the material and searching for systemic markers in the blood that reflect inflammation in peri-implantation tissues. The highly sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) measurements in blood and morphometric studies of tissue surrounding the implant were carried out in the experiment within three months of implantation of a biopolymer consisting of polycaprolactone (PCL) and polytrimethylene carbonate (PTMC).

The association of clinical, pathological, and immunohistochemical characteristics of papillary thyroid cancer with cause-specific mortality was analyzed in a case-control study within a cohort of patients from the Altai Regional Oncology Center. According to multivariate analysis, the independent predictors of fatal outcome within 10 years after surgery in patients living in Altai region are nuclear pattern of Hsp70 expression, thyroid capsular invasion, Ki-67 expression index >7%, and patient's age >45 years for men and >50 years for women. The prognostic model based on these features contributes to a significant improvement in the individual prognostic performance for papillary thyroid cancer in the modeling sample.

A large-scale search for the genetic variants with a bias in the representation of alleles in transcriptome data (AE SNPs) and the binding sites in microRNA 3'-UTRs was performed and their functional significance was assessed using massively parallel reporter assay (MPRA). Of the 629,559 associated "SNP-gene" pairs (eQTLs) discovered in the human liver tissue according to the GTEx Analysis V8 data, 4394 polymorphic positions in the 3'-UTRs of the genes, which represent the eQTLs for these genes were selected. The TargetScanHuman 7.

Structural changes in rat hepatocyte nucleoli were studied during deep hypothermia simulated by immersion in water at 5°C for 40 min (ambient air temperature 7°C). In comparison with the control, phenomena of nucleolar stress occurred in rats during hypothermia: the number of fibrillar centers (FC) per nucleus (by 1.7 times) and per nucleolus (by 1.
