EVALUATION OF CASES WITH THE USAGE OF COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TABLETS IN THE PEDIATRIC FORMULA.

Lack of availability, of either the medicinal product intended to be used for children, or such in a dose which is fitting for the individual child's needs, results in physicians administering medicines meant for the adult. The target of the thesis was to evaluate the cases with the usage of commercially avaible conventional tablet-formulated medicinal products intended for the adult in the pediatric formula. The subjects of the evaluation were the form of the pediatric drug, prepared from commercially available tablets and capsules, as well as the legitimacy of their usage in the treatment of the pediatric population.

[Incidence of neoplasms of the hematopoietic and lymphoreticular systems in the Lower Silesia. III. Neoplasms of the lymphoreticular system in various provinces].

The incidence of lymphomas (Hodgkin's disease, non-Hodgkin lymphoma), chronic lymphatic leukaemia was compared in four provinces in Lower Silesia. The highest incidence was in the Province of Wrocław, followed in decreasing order by Legnica, Wałbrzych and Jelenia Góra. The mean annual crude index of the incidence of these diseases was in these provinces respectively: Hodgkin's disease: 2.

Synthetic factor for evaluation of the effectiveness of the therapy in ovarian carcinoma.

The synthetic factor based on determinations of 10 parameters in sera of patients with ovarian carcinoma, was constructed. The factor was found to be useful in evaluation of the effectiveness of the cytotoxic treatment and in indication of the recurrence of the malignancy. Reduction of the number of biochemical markers to five (haptoglobin, seromucoid, lactate dehydrogenase, alkaline phosphatase, aspartate aminotransferase), according to significance of particular markers in the laboratory diagnostics of ovarian cancer did not affect the diagnostic sensitivity of the synthetic factor.
