Context: Autoimmune thyroid disease is the most common endocrine comorbidity in autoimmune Addison disease (AAD), but detailed investigations of prevalence and clinical course are lacking.

Objective: This work aimed to provide comprehensive epidemiological and clinical data on autoimmune thyroid disorders in AAD.

The dampening of hoof impact was investigated by measuring the accelerations transmitted through structures of the hoof in horses trotting freely on an asphalt tarmac. The hoof dampened the vibrations transmitted to the first phalanx. Shoeing decreased the viscous dampening and increased the median power frequency and the maximal amplitude of the vibrations transmitted to the first phalanx.

The efficiency of sealing the occlusal fissures of permanent first molars was studied in a group of patients 6-9 yr of age receiving a high standard of prophylactic care. Very soon after the eruption one of the teeth in a homomaxillary pair was sealed, and the contralateral was used for control. The control teeth were painted with a fluoride varnish (Duraphat) every 6 months during the trial.
