[Sphenoid sinuses in preschool children in health and disease].

The study of computer and MR tomograms of the paranasal sinuses in preschool children provided information of pneumatization of the sphenoid sinuses, their shape and size. 17 children had clinical and x-ray picture of sphenoiditis. Therapeutic measures in acute sphenoiditis in children are proposed.

[The status of paranasal sinuses in children according to computer tomography].

Computed and MR tomography of the paranasal sinuses have been conducted in 26 children aged 5-15 years. According to the CT images, 11 of them had affected maxillary sinuses and ethmoidal labyrinth cells, 15 had inflammation in the sphenoid sinuses alone or in combination with affection of the other sinuses.
