High-Resolution NMR of the Hydrogenation Reaction with Parahydrogen in an Inhomogeneous Magnetic Field.

Nuclear magnetic resonance is extremely attractive for operando studies of chemical reactors. However, the heterogeneous catalyst particles placed inside an NMR probe greatly affect the uniformity of the magnetic field. This problem is especially acute when studying heterogeneous hydrogenation processes using parahydrogen.

The authors demonstrated that in workers having pulmonary dust diseases, serum blood dehydration ("closed drop" preparation) reveals in polarized light very specific structure different from that in the reference group members. Morphologic properties of various structures could prove silicotic process development.

[Modification of the lipid membrane matrix with magnesium].

The influence of sulphuric magnesium on the molecular regulation processes in lecithin-water systems was investigated by the optical methods of polarized microscopy, refractometry and infrared spectroscopy. The obtained changes of structure parameters are interpreted by the modification role of Mg2+ cations and SO4(2-) groups.

[A scientific knowledge analysis of the problem of the biomedical sequelae of the accident at the Chernobyl Atomic Electric Power Station].

The authors carried out a scientific-research analysis of publication on the problem of medico-biological sequels of the Chernobyl Atomic Station. Systematization of 282 native and 45 foreign publications are presented as information models emphasizing the main trends of research, especially changes in the nervous system as well as in related systems of the body. Further detailed studies of the Chernobyl disaster sequels are important.
