Hyoid displacement during swallowing function for completely edentulous subjects rehabilitated with mandibular implant retained overdenture.

Background: Hyoid bone is attached to the mandible, tongue, larynx, temporal bone, and cervical spine via different types of muscles or ligaments. The tongue, mandible, and hyoid system play a crucial role in swallowing function. This within subject study aimed to evaluate the impact of mandibular implant overdentures on the displacement of the hyoid bones during the swallowing process.

Purpose: Portal vein (PV) reconstruction is a key factor for successful living-donor liver transplantation (LDLT). Anatomical variations of right PV (RPV) are encountered among potential donors.

Clinical characteristics of human fascioliasis in Egypt.

There is a lack of epidemiological data on fascioliasis in Egypt regarding disease characteristics and treatment outcomes across different governorates. We aimed to identify the demographic, epidemiologic, clinical, laboratory, and radiological characteristics and treatment outcomes of patients diagnosed with fascioliasis in Egypt. Data on human fascioliasis were collected retrospectively from patients' medical records in the period between January 2018 and January 2020.

Influence of sintering temperature on structural and optical properties of CdCuCrFeO ferrites.

Two ferrite series were synthesized. One series has nanosize samples that have been prepared by the co-precipitation method, and the second series has the corresponding bulk samples that have been sintered at 1000 °C for 6 h. X-ray diffraction has been used to estimate the cubic spinel structure of both series.
