Clinical significance of stratifying prostate cancer patients through specific circulating genes.

Patient stratification remains a challenge for optimal treatment of prostate cancer (PCa). This clinical heterogeneity implies intra-tumoural heterogeneity, with different prostate epithelial cell subtypes not all targeted by current treatments. We reported that such cell subtypes are traceable in liquid biopsies through representative transcripts.

Predictive factors of postoperative septic complications after flexible ureteroscopy for urinary stones.

Background: Flexible ureteroscopy (fURS) is one of the recommended treatments for urinary stones. Urosepsis is one of the most frequent complications of fURS however its predictive factors remain uncertain. Our objective was to assess the septic complications rates of fURS and to determinate predictive factors of these complications in patients undergoing fURS.

Contemporary best practice in the use of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in muscle-invasive bladder cancer.

Background: We aimed to provide a comprehensive literature review on the best practice management of patients with nonmetastatic muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) using neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC).

Method: Between July and September 2018, we conducted a systematic review using MEDLINE and EMBASE electronic bibliographic databases. The search strategy included the following terms: Neoadjuvant Therapy and Urinary Bladder Neoplasms.

Improving fitness of dually diagnosed adults.

Lack of prior research led to this study on the effect of a physical fitness program combined with a token economy reinforcement system on the physical fitness of 22 dually diagnosed adults of a day-treatment program. Between pre- and posttests, subjects participated in a 12-wk, training program of 40 to 45 min. of exercise three times a week.
