Hip resurfacing arthroplasty (HRA) has been advocated as an attractive therapy for a younger, more demanding patient population with debilitating hip osteoarthritis. Controversies surrounding metal-on-metal (MoM) hip resurfacing have, however, led to a significant decline in the popularity of the HRA.
