Photobiomodulation on vocal training and rehabilitation: Delphi consensus based on experts.

Purpose: To develop a consensus among speech-language pathologists who are voice specialists regarding the criteria for recommending and using photobiomodulation in the context of vocal therapy and training.

Methods: Seven speech-language pathologists, experts in voice, and with experience in using photobiomodulation in vocal therapy and training participated. The Delphi technique was used to achieve consensus from a panel of experts accessed independently in two phases of collection.

Effect of Flower and Leaf Extract on the Functional, Antioxidant, Rheological, Textural, and Sensory Properties of Goat Yogurt.

The present study aimed to evaluate the effects of incorporating different concentrations (1% and 2%) of Malvaviscus arboreus flower (FE) and leaf (LE) extracts as functional ingredients in goat milk yogurt. This study analyzed the impact of these formulations (YFE1%, YFE2%, YLE1%, and YLE2%) on the physicochemical, bioactive, antioxidant, rheological, textural, and sensory properties of goat yogurt over a 28-day storage period. Including FE and LE extracts significantly enhanced the yogurt's antioxidant activity, reaching up to 10.

Development of silanized bacterial cellulose aerogels for the incorporation of natural oils with healing properties: Copaiba (Copaifera officinalis), bourbon geranium (Pelargonium X ssp.) essential oils and buriti (Mauritia flexuosa) vegetable oil.

Bacterial cellulose (BC) represents a promising biomaterial, due to its unique and versatile properties. We report, herein, on purposely-designed structural modifications of BC that enhance its application as a wound dressing material. Chemical modification of the functional groups of BC was performed initially to introduce a hydrophobic/oleophilic character to its surface.

Concept-drifts adaptation for machine learning EEG epilepsy seizure prediction.

Seizure prediction remains a challenge, with approximately 30% of patients unresponsive to conventional treatments. Lipid storage in the form of triacylglycerol (TAG) is essential for insect life, as it enables flight, development, and reproduction. The activity of the lipase brummer (bmm) has been shown to be essential to insects' homeostasis. The objective of this study was to evaluate how bmm expression occurs in Aedes aegypti larvae and adults, and to observe TAG levels during fasting in adult females.
