Extra-adrenal, functional paraganglioma, if not medically controlled, requires early surgical resection. This can often be challenging when found in a retroperitoneal location, where resections are prone to lymphatic disruption and chyle leaks. Chylous ascites carry a significant risk of protein and caloric malnutrition, dehydration, and even mortality given the nutrient-rich characteristic of lost lymphatic fluid.

Recent studies showed that meteorites display unique mass-independent isotopic signatures of the volatile element Zn, suggesting that Earth's Zn originated from materials derived from different regions of the Solar System. However, these studies largely omitted meteorites from the differentiated planetesimals thought to represent the Earth's building blocks, which underwent melting and substantial volatile loss.

A significant number of women experience mental ill health related to the major brain gonadal hormone shifts that occur in their midlife. There is poor understanding and management of the complex mental ill health issues, with the biological brain hormone changes receiving little formal attention.

This acyl thiourea derivative can adopt two classes of low energy conformation, each stabilized by a different 6-membered intramolecular hydrogen bond (IHB) pseudoring. Analysis in different solvents revealed that the conformational preference of this molecule is polarity dependent, with increasingly polar environments yielding a higher proportion of the minor conformer containing an NH⋅⋅⋅N IHB.
