Objective: To describe the use and nationwide variation of red blood cell (RBC) transfusions in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) following the introduction of the revised national transfusion guideline in 2019.
Design And Patients: We randomly selected neonates born below 32 weeks' gestation admitted to any NICU in the Netherlands in 2020 to include in our retrospective observational cohort study.
Main Outcome Measures: Main outcome measures were the number of neonates receiving at least one transfusion, and the number of transfusions per transfused neonate.
Background: Although preterm birth is associated with deficits in both motor and cognitive functioning, the association between early motor skills and cognitive outcomes at a later age remains underexplored.
Aim: To evaluate associations between motor skills at age 5.5 and cognitive functioning at age 8.
Background: Isavuconazole is a relatively new antifungal agent indicated for the management of various invasive fungal diseases (IFDs), including invasive aspergillosis. Information on real-world experience with isavuconazole is scarce. This retrospective observational study aimed to describe the usage of isavuconazole in clinical practice with an in-depth evaluation of individual isavuconazole exposure.

This study examines shallow water facilities in the US Gulf of Mexico with repeat atmospheric observations to evaluate temporal variation in site-specific methane emissions. We combine new and previous observations to develop a longitudinal study, spanning from days to months to almost five years, evaluating the emissions behavior of sites over time.

Tropical wetlands contribute ∼30% of the global methane (CH) budget. Limited observational constraints on tropical wetland CH emissions lead to large uncertainties and disparities in representing emissions. In this work, we combine remote sensing observations with atmospheric and wetland models to investigate dry season wetland CH emissions from the Pantanal region of South America.
