Rehabilitation under water is a viable physical rehabilitation option, but it has some limitations in terms of adapting to needs of each patient. In addition, its facility requirements are relatively high. Simulating the fluid environment using a robotic system would enable therapists adjust various parameters so that the therapy is tailored to the patient's unique state.

Objective: Chronically increased blood glucose levels may affect the vestibular system by damaging cells and neural structures in diabetes mellitus (DM). We aimed to search the effects of neurovascular degeneration on the vestibular system in type 2 DM and prediabetic patients by using air-conducted ocular (oVEMP) and cervical (cVEMP) vestibular evoked myogenic potentials.

The use of haptic devices in the medical field has become widespread in the last decade. In this study, a visio-haptic dental training system is developed using haptic and stereoscopic devices. Several advantages are offered by such a simulation system, including effective learning without any fear of making mistakes on a patient, possibility of repeating various dental operations, ease of evaluating student performance, and low-cost dental training even without an instructor.
