Aim: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of divazа in the treatment of cognitive and emotional disorders in patients with chronic cerebral ischemia (CCI) based on clinical findings and laboratory markers of endothelial dysfunction.

Material And Methods: Thirty patients with CCI, aged 40 to 70 years, were examined. All patients were treated with divazа (2 tablets 3 times a day) for 12 weeks.

Objective: To evaluate the levels of the main GABA synthetic enzyme, glutamate decarboxylase (represented by two isoforms, GAD65 and GAD67) in the cerebellum cortex of patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD) and mentally healthy subjects.

Materials And Methods: Samples of the cerebellum cortex from 13 mentally healthy subjects (the control group) and 13 patients with AD were studied. Samples obtained after autopsy were frozen and stored at -80 °C.

The article presents the results of questionnaire survey of mothers brining up disabled children aged from 1 to 4 years organized to evaluate respondents' satisfaction with delivered medical care and to establish mothers'awareness of disease of child. The results testify that alongside with applied measures directed to improve quality of medical care the activities are needed to be applied to parents to increase their awareness of child health condition, causes of development of disease and characteristics of its course, methods and perspectives of treatment and prognosis of disease.

We have studied the role of oxidant stress in development of rhythm disturbances in early postoperative period after coronary artery bypass grafting and possibilities of their prevention with preparations of ascorbinic acid. It was shown that the use of β-adrenoblockers allows to prevent arrhythmia on first day after operation only in 80% of cases. Patients with developed disturbances of cardiac rhythm were characterized by high parameters of lipid peroxidation (LPO) and substantial changes of activity of antioxidant enzyme catalase.
