For decades quaternary ammonium compounds (QACs) have served as main component of a top antiseptic and disinfectant compositions. Among them, bis-QACs are the most prominent and effective class of biocides. Although mono-QACs still dominate the antiseptic market, their activity against Gram-negative bacteria is largely inferior to bis-QACs.

: Despite extensive studies of the role of quadriceps and quadriceps/hamstring balance in knee osteoarthritis (OA), the roles of the vastus intermedius, medialis, and lateralis in OA remain unclear. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of lower limb alignment and the ratio of the quadriceps femoris muscle to the knee extensor muscle. : This study included 50 patients with advanced knee OA (Kellgren/Lawrence grade of 3 or 4) and 25 healthy control persons between June 2021 and May 2022.

Non-layered 2D materials offer unique and more advantageous physicochemical properties than those of conventional 2D layered materials. However, the isotropic chemical bonding nature of non-layered materials hinders their lateral growth, making the synthesis of large-area continuous thin films challenging. Herein, a facile kinetically tailored chemical vapor deposition (KT-CVD) approach is introduced for the synthesis of 2D molybdenum nitride (MoN), a representative non-layered material.
