The dose-dependent effects of plasma exposure to a unipolar nanosecond sliding discharge over the surface of the culture medium in a closed plate on the cells of cerebral endothelium in vitro were studied. Using a 24-well plate, the surface plasma energy density of one pulse was 360 μJ/cm2 at a pulse frequency of 100 Hz. It has been shown that in the creeping discharge plasma there is an active excitation of air molecules, the formation of positive nitrogen and oxygen ions, and the formation of carbon monoxide.

C1q glomerulopathy is a rare variety of chronic glomerulonephritis manifested as C1q deposition revealed by immunofluorescence microscopy. The pathogenesis and etiology of the disease have not been studied. The paper deals with the results of clinical, morphological, immunofluorescence, and electron microscopic examinations in 13 patients with C1q glomerulopathy.

Background: Polyhexamethylene guanidine phosphate (PHMG-P) belongs to the polymeric guanidine family of biocides and contains a phosphate group, which may confer better solubility, a detoxifying effect and may change the kinetics and dynamics of PHMG-P interactions with microorganisms. Limited data regarding PHMG-P activity against periodontopathogenic and cariogenic microorganisms necessitates studies in this area. Aim is to evaluate polyhexamethylene guanidine phosphate antimicrobial activity in comparison to chlorhexidine.

This work is devoted to the study of the role of iron ions in the carcinogenic and mutagenic activity of chrysotile. For this aim natural chrysotile was treated with ferric chloride (III), washed, crushed and intratracheally introduced into Wistar rats. When administered to rats intact chrysotile induced mesotheliomas in 27,9 + 4,6% of cases, and chrysotile modified with ferric chloride - in 1,3 +/- 1,3%.
