On the basis of an analysis of remote results of appendectomy for non-destructive forms of appendicitis in children the authors make a conclusion that appendectomy was not justified in these forms of the disease. To differentiate destructive and non-destructive forms of appendicitis the authors recommend to use electromyography and laparoscopy.

The authors have performed laparoscopy in 30 children suspected in acute intestinal obstruction. At the present time laparoscopy is believed to be the method enabling the disease to be diagnosed at early stages sufficiently exactly and for a short time. In a number of cases the authors succeeded in liquidating acute intestinal obstruction by menas of a laparoscope and a manipulator without a repeated laparotomy.

Under study were associated lesions of kidneys in 164 patients admitted to the hospital of emergency medical service with the closed injury of the kidneys. Symptoms of injury of other organs and shock of different degree prevailed in the clinical picture of 45 children. Novocaine blockade and active infusion therapy were used to abolish shock reactions.
