[The hemodynamic effect of closed mitral recommissurotomy based on data from manometry in the heart chambers and from echocardiography].

The hemodynamic effect of operation was studied in 181 patients after closed mitral recommissurotomy on the basis of findings of intraoperative manometry in the heart chambers and echocardiography. Lower pulmonary hypertension was noted in 87.9% and that of the diastolic gradient on the mitral valve in 86.

[Immediate results of closed correction of recurrent mitral valve stenosis in the late stages of the disease].

Immediate results of closed surgical correction of recurrence of mitral stenosis in 127 patients at late stages of the disease performed in 1957-1986 are described. Closed re-commissurotomy proved to be possible in 98.5% and was effective in 80% of the patients operated upon.

[Exposure to external pain in the treatment of various functional diseases].

The method of exposure to external pain was used in 143 patients. It was shown to be highly efficient in treatment of a number of functional diseases. The authors emphasize the importance of further multilateral investigation of prospects of using this method in medicine.

[Use of interstitial antibiotic electrophoresis with chronic pneumonia patients].

Interstitial electrophoresis of antibiotics included in the complex of curative measures was shown to be highly effective for the treatment of chronic pneumonia. The conclusion was made on the basis of an analysis of results of treatment of 128 patients with chronic pneumonia.
