Introduction: Prehabilitation (preoperative rehabilitation) encompasses a range of patient health driven interventions with the potential to enhance surgical outcomes. This systematic review aims to assess the efficacy of prehabilitation on postoperative outcomes across surgical specialties, focusing on physical functionality and postoperative length of stay (LOS).
Methods: Medline, Embase, CINAHL Plus, Cochrane Library, Scopus, and Clinicaltrials.
The objective of this literature review was to examine and summarize knowledge of best practices for the management of patients suffering traumatic brain injury based on studies using a variety of practices to improve outcomes published 2018 - 2021. From a clinical perspective, when a patient suffers an acute traumatic brain injury, providers and clinicians ask themselves and each other, "What else could we do? What could we have tried to improve the outcome with this patient?" Astute clinicians spend ample time reviewing contemporary studies to improve their patients' outcomes. This project aimed not to find all studies about a specific treatment, but to review all studies about a topic to evaluate the studies for rigor and results to improve bedside patient care in times of crisis.

Quantitative CT (QCT) software enables quantification of patterns on HRCT with results that are objective, reproducible, sensitive to change and predictive of disease progression. In the present study, we sought to evaluate the landscape of health disparities research within neurosurgery.
Methods: Embase, Ovid-MEDLINE, Scopus, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and ProQuest Dissertations databases were queried for original research on health disparities regarding access to, outcomes of, and/or postoperative management after neurosurgical procedures in the United States.
Objective: The "leaky academic pipeline" describes how female representation in leadership positions has remained stagnant despite an increase in the number of female trainees. Female mentorship to female mentees, and female role models at higher academic positions have been shown to positively influence academic productivity. To the authors' knowledge, the impact of female editorial board representation on authorship trends in neurosurgical journals remains undescribed.
