The RUBI Parent Training for Disruptive Behavior in a Child with Electrical Status Epilepticus in Sleep (ESES): A Case Report.

Children with electrical status epilepticus in sleep (ESES) often present with cognitive deficits and behavioral difficulties. Children that present with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), intellectual disability, and ESES would be expected to manifest more complex symptoms and increased behavioral difficulties given the nature of these disorders. Despite the complex presentation, there is little research to support effective treatments that manage behavior challenges and associated symptoms of ASD in such patients.

Pre-service Teachers' Perspectives on Transition to Kindergarten Practices for Autistic Children.

Autistic children present with unique challenges that may be associated with challenges during the kindergarten transition process. While teachers endorse transition to kindergarten practices as important, implementation of effective transition practices is inconsistent. One possible reason is limited training during pre-service education; however, research about this is scarce.

The exploding use of electricity in homes and industry in the second half of the 19th century was accompanied by many injuries and fatalities from electric currents. Their study by my father was the serendipitous outcome of his early work on possible blood pressure changes from electric currents in a career that started in internal medicine. It became his limited field of electro-pathology which embraced first aid, the care of the injured, histopathology and accident prevention.

Sarcophilia, a neologism for an attachment to human remains, is set in a review of the history of the disposal of the dead. The ancient practice of cremation was relaunched late in the 19th century by the urological surgeon cum social reformer Sir Henry Thompson. He was stimulated by Edwin Chadwick and Charles Dickens, and by Charles Darwin's observations on the earthworm.
