Article Synopsis
  • Oxidative stress significantly impacts infants born to diabetic mothers (IDMs), leading to complications due to increased lipid peroxidation and ischemia modified albumin (IMA) levels.
  • Maternal glycemic control directly influences oxidative stress markers, with higher maternal HbA1c correlating to lower total antioxidant capacity (TAC) and higher MDA and IMA levels in cord blood.
  • Effective glycemic management in diabetic pregnancies is essential to mitigate oxidative stress and protect the health of infants.

Background: Tumor recurrence or metastasis after surgery is a significant factor influencing bladder cancer (BC) prognosis. Novel molecular biomarkers are necessary to determine each patient's specific outcome because current biomarkers have limited power for predicting prognosis. The proto-oncogene MET encodes c-MET, a tyrosine kinase receptor.

Bacterial infections pose an increasingly worrisome threat to the health of humankind, with antibiotic resistance contributing significantly to this burden. With current conventional antibiotics perpetuating the problem, and a paucity in developing antibiotics, drug delivery systems incorporating nanotechnology appear promising. As such, a dual enzyme-responsive multifunctional nanostructured lipid carrier (NLC) incorporating farnesol (FAN) and triglycerol monostearate (TGMS), was conceptualized for the codelivery of vancomycin (VCM) and antimicrobial peptide (AMP) to enhance the antibacterial activity of VCM.

During mammalian preimplantation development, the transition from morula to blastocyst is a critical biological event. This process involves polarization and initial specification of lineages, regulated by various transcription factors that have been extensively studied in mice. Our single-cell RNA sequencing analyses revealed that TEAD3 is specifically expressed in the trophectoderm cells of bovine preimplantation embryos, unlike in mice.
