A clinical pharmacology and medication safety elective was developed for fourth-year medical students to enhance students' foundational pharmacology knowledge and the importance of preventing medication errors. Background: Simple syndactyly is a common congenital upper extremity difference. Traditional reconstructive approaches utilize skin grafts; however, recent studies suggest skin graftless techniques may improve outcomes. We hypothesized that patients who underwent reconstruction with a skin graftless dorsal metacarpal island VY advancement flap would have fewer postoperative complications compared to those released with a dorsal rectangular flap with skin grafts.

This study investigates the impact of organic multilayering on mineral-SOM interactions, by integrating macroscale experiments and molecular-scale simulations that assess the individual and sequential adsorption of major SOM compounds-lauric acid (lipid), pentaglycine (amino acid), trehalose (carbohydrate), and lignin onto soil minerals.
