The Ames room illusion is one of the best-known geometrical illusions but its geometrical properties are often misunderstood. This study discusses the differences in the geometrical properties between the original Ames room and what have been often referred to as "Ames rooms" in recent studies.

Introduction: Dalcinonacog alfa (DalcA), a novel subcutaneously administered recombinant human factor IX (FIX) variant is being developed for adult and paediatric patients with hemophilia B (HB). DalcA has been shown to raise FIX to clinically meaningful levels in adults with HB. This work aimed to support dosing regimen selection in adults and perform first-in-paediatric dose extrapolations using a model-based pharmacokinetic (PK) approach.

Objective: To check the association of genetic polymorphisms rs6280 of the DRD3 gene, rs4680 of the gene, rs7322347 of the gene with schizophrenia.

Material And Methods: The sample included 300 inpatients with paranoid schizophrenia. Inclusion criteria: age 18-50 years, established diagnosis «Schizophrenia, paranoid form», duration of psychiatric disorders not less than 5 years.

Learning under social versus nonsocial uncertainty: A meta-analytic approach.

Much of the uncertainty that clouds our understanding of the world springs from the covert values and intentions held by other people. Thus, it is plausible that specialized mechanisms that compute learning signals under uncertainty of exclusively social origin operate in the brain. To test this hypothesis, we scoured academic databases for neuroimaging studies involving learning under uncertainty, and performed a meta-analysis of brain activation maps that compared learning in the face of social versus nonsocial uncertainty.
