Introduction: We aimed to investigate serum galanin-like peptide (GALP) levels and their correlation with hormonal and metabolic parameters in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Material And Methods: The study included 48 women (age range, 18-44 years) with a diagnosis of PCOS, and a control group that included 40 healthy females (age range, 18-46 years). Waist circumference, body mass index (BMI), and Ferriman-Gallwey score were evaluated and plasma glucose, lipid profile, oestradiol, progesterone, total testosterone, prolactin, insulin, dehydroepiandrosterone sulphate (DHEA-S), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D), fibrinogen, d-dimer, C-reactive protein (CRP), and GALP levels were measured in all study subjects.
Introduction: We aimed to investigate Cardiotrophin-1 (CT-1) levels along with other markers of cardiovascular disease and the association of androgen levels with these parameters in both lean and overweight or obese PCOS patients.
Material And Methods: The study included 90 overweight or obese PCOS patients with metabolic syndrome (MS) and 80 lean PCOS patients without MS. The control group consisted of 140 healthy females.
The main aim of this study was to investigate the relationship of the carriership of rs2228145 allelic variations of IL-6R with two other allelic variations in IL-6 gene at rs1800795 and rs1800796 loci and with the laboratory data of a healthy cohort of the Turkish population. The data of 121 healthy Turkish subjects (aged 12-84 years) including the past diseases, comorbidities were collected. The laboratory parameters were compared by the frequency of alleles of rs2228145 (C>A).

According to the water framework directive (WFD), the chemical status should be determined for each water body in a basin through monitoring and evaluation studies, and the gap between the status of water bodies and good water status should be revealed in river basin management plans. In this context, the methodology starting with the evaluation of the monitoring results of the priority substances (PSs) until the end of determining the measures to achieve good condition in surface waters was given in this study. The key aim was to provide a useful methodology defined as a matrix for determining the sources of pollutants that caused this gap.

Many matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) have been shown to be expressed in aortic sclerosis and contribute to valve fibrosis and calcification. We investigated the relationship between Pregnancy-Associated Plasma Protein-A (PAPP-A) and AS.
