Non-response cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) remains an issue, despite the refinement of selection criteria. The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of stress echocardiography along with dyssynchrony parameters for identification of CRT responders or late responders. 106 symptomatic heart failure patients were examined before, 6 months and 2-4 years after CRT implementation.

Microscopic examination revealed a tumor with morphology reminiscent of metastatic clear cell renal cell carcinoma. The results of an extensive immunohistochemical (IHC) examination confirmed our initial diagnosis and further investigation of the patient's medical history revealed that a unilateral nephrectomy had been performed 27 years prior to the current tumor.

Hydatidosis is a usually asymptomatic chronic disease. In most patients who undergo surgery, hydatidosis is not resolved due to high recurrence rate. However, long-term treatment with albendazole has been found to have a significant efficacy that has been further improved when albendazole is combined with praziquantel and fat-rich diet.
