[Urological cancers in Geneva : epidemiology and diagnosis, where do we stand?].

Urological cancers are substantial burden for public health worldwide, due to their considerable incidence, morbidity and mortality. The cornerstone of an effective disease management is an appropriate diagnostic strategy and early detection. Based on the data from the population-based Geneva cancer registry, this article aimed to report epidemiological trends in urological cancers in Geneva from the last 26 years.

[Cross-sectional study assessing the oral status of oncogeriatric patients using the Ohat score].

Oral hygiene is essential for a healthy quality of life. The main aim of the study carried out in oncogeriatrics at Amiens University Hospital was to test the Oral Health Assessment Tool (Ohat) score as a means of assessing patients' oral health status, in order to optimize referral criteria for odontological care. Significant correlations were found between the Ohat score and the frailty scales specific to geriatric assessment.

Sun exposure and challenges of sun protection in adolescents and young adults: A prevalence observational study.

The present study aimed to explore the adherence to and efficiency of skin protection measures among teenagers and young adults. The present study investigated the reasons for sun exposure and the obstacles impeding sun protection. In the summer of 2023, a self-reported questionnaire was posted on the social media account of two high schools, a university, some industrial companies and among the teenage children of a dermatology clinic.

Blast disease caused by the fungus Magnaporthe oryzae is one of the most devastating rice diseases. Disease resistance genes such as Pi-ta or Pi-ta2 are critical in protecting rice production from blast. Published work reports that Pi-ta codes for a nucleotide-binding and leucine-rich repeat domain protein (NLR) that recognizes the fungal protease-like effector AVR-Pita by direct binding.
