The resolution of grating spectrometers is insufficient to resolve many features present in the emission spectra of solid-state quantum emitters. Spectral resolution may be improved by inserting a Fabry-Perot interferometer (FPI) whose length is tuned by a piezoelectric actuator. Yet piezo creep and thermal fluctuations cause instability that makes this solution unsuitable for measurement times longer than tens of seconds.

Materials And Methods: This retrospective study entailing a search of radiology reports from April 1, 2014, to April 15, 2021, resulted in 52 patients with suspected yet without lobar torsion and 4 with confirmed torsion, supplemented by 2 additional cases before the search period for a total of 6 confirmed cases. Four thoracic radiologists (1 an adjudicator) evaluated chest radiographs and computed tomography (CT) examinations, and Fisher exact and Mann-Whitney tests were used to identify any significant differences in imaging features (P<0.
Epitaxial quantum dots can emit polarization-entangled photon pairs. If orthogonal polarizations are coupled to independent paths, then the photons will be path-entangled. Through inverse design with adjoint method optimization, we design a quantum dot polarization demultiplexer, a nanophotonic geometry that efficiently couples orthogonally polarized transition dipole moments of a single quantum dot to two independent waveguides.

Our purpose was to determine whether MR imaging radiomics-based machine learning can predict progression-free survival and overall survival in patients with glioblastoma on programmed death-ligand 1 inhibition immunotherapy.
Materials And Methods: Post hoc analysis was performed of a multicenter trial on the efficacy of durvalumab in glioblastoma ( = 113).
