Molybdenum(IV) dithiocarboxylates as single-source precursors for AACVD of MoS thin films.

Tetrakis(dithiocarboxylato)molybdenum(IV) complexes of the type Mo(SCR) (R = Me, Et, Pr, Ph) were synthesized, characterized, and prescreened as precursors for aerosol assisted chemical vapor deposition (AACVD) of MoS thin films. The thermal behavior of the complexes as determined by TGA and GC-MS was appropriate for AACVD, although the complexes were not sufficiently volatile for conventional CVD bubbler systems. Thin films of MoS were grown by AACVD at 500 °C from solutions of Mo(SCMe) in toluene.

Elevated endotracheal tube cuff pressure in the pediatric emergency department.

Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate endotracheal tube cuff pressure after emergency intubation and identify variables associated with an elevated cuff pressure.

Methods: This was a prospective cohort study of intubated patients in the emergency department of Nationwide Children's Hospital. The primary study outcome, cuff pressure, was measured via manometer.

Complement C4, factor B and C3 polymorphism in north India.

Allotype frequencies of complement C4, factor B and C3 proteins were determined in 192 healthy unrelated individuals from North India. The gene frequencies for the most common factor B and C3 alleles were close to the data already published. As expected, significant differences were observed in this first study of C4 allotype frequencies among the North Indian population in comparison to European Caucasians.
