A novel screening platform for the nickel-catalyzed cyanation of (hetero)aryl halides relying on the use of air-stable Ni(COD)DQ at low loading is reported. Through high-throughput experimentation (HTE), various ligand and solvent combinations are systematically explored, allowing the fast identification of suitable conditions. This standardized workflow serves as an excellent starting point for selecting other competent nickel precatalysts and for further optimization of reluctant substrates.

Fiber is essential for rumen health, microbial fermentation, and the energy supply of herbivores. Even though the study of fecal fiber contents (neutral detergent fiber NDF, acid detergent fiber ADF, and acid detergent lignin ADL) using near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) has allowed investigating nutritional ecology of different herbivore species, NIRS calibrations are species-specific and require a large number of samples for predictions. A multispecies calibration would be an advantage since samples from different herbivores could be used to calibrate a model capable of predicting the fecal fiber content of other herbivores.

Purpose: This study aims to develop a Radiomics-based Supervised Machine-Learning model to predict mortality in patients with spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (sICH).

Methods: Retrospective analysis of a prospectively collected clinical registry of patients with sICH consecutively admitted at a single academic comprehensive stroke center between January-2016 and April-2018. We conducted an in-depth analysis of 105 radiomic features extracted from 105 patients.
