We present two cases of plaque-type trichoblastoma with atypical foci. A rare variant of trichoblastoma is the plaque variant, which is characterized by poor circumscription and locally infiltrative growth pattern. These lesions mostly require multiple stages of Mohs micrographic surgery.

An increasing number of pathology laboratories are now fully digitised, using whole slide imaging (WSI) for routine diagnostics. WSI paves the road to use artificial intelligence (AI) that will play an increasing role in computer-aided diagnosis (CAD). In melanocytic skin lesions, the presence of a dermal mitosis may be an important clue for an intermediate or a malignant lesion and may indicate worse prognosis.

Background: Diseases of the pancreas may present with extrapancreatic symptoms, such as (poly)arthritis or necrosis of subcutaneous fat. A combination of pancreatitis, panniculitis and (poly)arthritis is referred to as the PPP syndrome, which is associated with acute and chronic pancreatitis, as well as pancreatic malignancies.

Case Description: This article describes a patient which was admitted to our hospital with severe polyarthritis and panniculitis.
