In this research study, we investigated four strains of that showed promising properties for plant growth. These strains were tested for their ability to mobilize phosphorus and produce ammonium, siderophores, and phytohormones. The strains exhibited different values of PGP traits; however, the analysis of the complete genomes failed to reveal any significant differences in known genes associated with the expression of beneficial plant traits.

Oshmarin & Demshin, 1972 is redescribed from the posterior intestine of tropical tortoise (Gmelin, 1789) (Testudines: Geoemydidae) from China. Some characteristic features of the male reproductive system not reported previously are now reported for the present species. These include the presence of two blind diverticula near the mid-region of the seminal vesicle and a small cuticular structure near the opening of the cloaca - which we propose to name the 'scutum.

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are found frequently in both groundwater and surface water sources across Sweden posing challenges to drinking water supply. Lake Ekoln is located south of Uppsala and is the basin of Lake Mälaren; Lake Mälaren is the third largest lake in Sweden and is the drinking water source for more than two million people. The aim of this study was to simulate the fate and transport of PFAS in Lake Ekoln during the period 2017-2020 using three-dimensional hydrodynamic modelling.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aims to explore AI methods for reducing PET acquisition time, enhancing patient comfort and scanner efficiency while maintaining image quality.
  • Researchers evaluated various neural network models for PET denoising using a large dataset of 56,908 images, including different model architectures like 2D ResNet, Unet, and 3D MedNeXt.
  • The 3D MedNeXt model was found to be the most effective, significantly improving image quality metrics during PET scans, particularly in 30-second and 60-second acquisitions compared to the original 90-second scans.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by persistent hyperglycemia, chronic inflammation, impaired insulin secretion, and/or peripheral insulin resistance. Current α-glucosidase inhibitors approved for clinical use exhibit limited efficacy compared to other glucose-lowering agents. In this study, a series of mono- and bis-benzylidene derivatives were synthesized via aldol condensation of 3-oxo-dammarane triterpenoids with terephthalic aldehyde.
