A Personalized Approach for Oligometastatic Prostate Cancer: Current Understanding and Future Directions.

Oligometastatic prostate cancer (OMPC) represents an intermediate state in the progression from localized disease to widespread metastasis when the radiographically significant sites are limited in number and location. With no clear consensus on a definition, its diagnostic significance and associated optimal therapeutic approach remain controversial, posing a significant challenge for clinicians. The current standard of care for metastatic disease is to start systemic therapy; however, active surveillance and targeted radiotherapy have become attractive options to mitigate the long-term effects of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT).

High-Resolution Mapping of Photocatalytic Activity by Diffusion-Based and Tunneling Modes of Photo-Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy.

Semiconductor nanomaterials and nanostructured interfaces have important technological applications, ranging from fuel production to electrosynthesis. Their photocatalytic activity is known to be highly heterogeneous, both in an ensemble of nanomaterials and within a single entity. Photoelectrochemical imaging techniques are potentially useful for high-resolution mapping of photo(electro)catalytic active sites; however, the nanoscale spatial resolution required for such experiments has not yet been attained.

Navigating Collaboration: Factors Influencing Special Education Teachers' Relationships with BCBAs in Diverse School Contexts.

This Multiperspectival Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (MIPA) delves into the nuanced experiences of 20 special education teachers across severe, mild to moderate, and early childhood backgrounds collaborating with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) in school settings. While identifying facilitators and barriers to this collaboration, the study sheds light on factors that contribute to a breakdown in rapport between teachers and BCBAs. Notable challenges include perceived condescension, feelings of blame for intervention shortcomings, and receiving recommendations deemed non-feasible or impractical.

Advanced-stage duodenal cancer in pregnancy.

This is a case report of a pregnant patient diagnosed with advanced-stage duodenal cancer in the second trimester. To the author's knowledge, there are no studies that describe the management of advanced duodenal cancer during pregnancy and this case highlights the importance of creating a multidisciplinary team and incorporating shared decision-making when discussing diagnostic workup and treatment options, including the use of cytotoxic therapy during pregnancy, with patients. This study will also discuss maternal and fetal outcomes after the administration of FOLFOX (leucovorin, fluorouracil and oxaliplatin) chemotherapy during the second trimester.

Local Problem: Rates of maternal morbidity and mortality among Black childbearing women in West Louisville, Kentucky are higher than rates in Kentucky and the United States.
